Impending Darkness Rules

Attention: Please frequently check in with this page, as we will sometimes be updating the rules as we see fit throughout the course of the game. Remember, nothing is personal, but we keep the rules in place to make sure that everyone has a good time.

 

1)   Absolutely NO Godmodding.

 

2)   Your character is not a super-wizard. They are not all powerful and they cannot do everything. Magic cannot solve every little problem. Please try to keep your character’s abilities well within reason. If the mods have reason to believe that you are violating this rule, they will be in contact with you.

3)   Your character does not know what you know. If you hear that a character is planning on attempting murder on your character, you don't know about it. Your character does not climb walls and they are not psychic. If any other players overstep boundaries and harm your character in any way without permission, contact a mod immediately.

 

4)   While this is AURPG, please respect the characters and stay true to their personalities. IE: Hermione Granger is not a crack addict, neither is Ron Weasley, etc.... If you need further clarification on this, please don’t hesitate to ask!

 

5)   DO NOT TAKE A MAIN CHARACTER IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO POST AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK. We can not specify this enough, we understand that real life comes first and things happen, but if you are generally a BUSY person, main characters are not for you due to their high volume of acquaintances. All other characters are expected to comment at least once every five days to an active thread, but if your character is a main character (I.E Harry Potter, James Potter, Lily Evans, Ect.) Please be a little more active than that.


6) THERE WILL BE ACTIVITY CHECKS. At the end of each month, a general post will be made in the OOC asking for a link to at least one thread from THAT MONTH that you have commented at least twice on. If you are unable to do this, or generally do not answer without giving us fair warning of hiatus, YOU WILL BE REMOVED.

 

7)   PLEASE send an email to the mods if you are going to be absent. If life is stressing you out and you need time away, TELL us, we will absolutely hold your character for you and make sure they are not taken by anyone else. If you just disappear without a word all we can do is think that you dropped out and your character will be replaced.

 

8)   All posts must be written in the third person. Consistency. It's a beautiful thing.

10)   If, for any reason, you have a problem with how the game is being played, or you have an issue with another player, PLEASE speak to a mod. Do not feel the need to take action into your own hands. Remember! We’re here to have fun and get along with each other! The less drama the better!

11) PLEASE NOTE: We are an open community to GOOD writers with no prejudices against anybody. Writers are free to make their characters any sexuality they like, Heterosexual and Homosexual. If you are uncomfortable with this, speak with us, or avoid applying.
